Jessie McCarty is a writer and database technician with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. They have worked in auctions, performances, cinema spaces, and libraries; while earning certifications in cataloging and librarianship studies from the California Rare Book School. They have won awards for writing, Digital Leadership, and performance.

Currently, I am working as a contract archives processor for the Vivian G. Harsh Special Collections. I have transferrable skills in various software ranging from ArchiveSpace, Synology, Bynder, Excel, and more.

In my free time, I am passionate about folklore, poetry, and rare book cataloging. My writings have been published in The Minnesota Review, Track and Field, Pan Pan Press, the Documentarian, etc.
